What is Patuxent Gift Market?
A marketplace for handmade gifts. You send a gift request and we answer with options from makers on our marketplace, each naming the maker, the total price, the delivery date and the return terms.
Do I pay when I send a request?
No. A request is free and creates no obligation. Nothing is charged until you accept a written offer. This website does not take payments.
What does handmade mean?
Made or finished by hand, or in small batches, by the maker named in your offer. If an item involves machine help or a production partner, the offer says so.
How fast do I get an answer?
Usually within one to two business days. If you need the gift by a particular date, put it in the request and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible.
Do I have to give a phone number?
No. An email address is enough. If you give a phone number and tick the consent box, we may call or text you about the request, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Can I return a gift?
Return terms are stated in each offer before you pay. Damaged, defective or not-as-described items can be reported within 14 days of delivery. Personalized items cannot be returned unless defective. See Shipping and Returns.
Are you affiliated with Etsy or Amazon?
No. We are independent and a competitor of those marketplaces. See the comparison, which is not a neutral review.
What do you do with my details?
We use them to answer your request and, if you accept an offer, to fill the order. We do not sell them. See the Privacy Policy.
